HLSP are a leading provider of consultancy services, program
management and policy advice in the health sector working to
strengthen health systems, reduce poverty and respond to HIV and
other communicable diseases.
HLSP specializes in health systems and public health, including
Reproductive & Child Health and HIV. It has governance,
poverty, gender equity and institution building as core
competencies of all staff, backed by full time specialists in these
areas.
Consultancy:
We work for international agencies and governments and other global
health partners on short-term technical assignments. We manage
technical resource centers for DFID and AusAID, which provide
short-term technical advisory services.
Program management:
We manage long term projects and programs on behalf of
international partners and have considerable experience in managing
and delivering these programs in complex environments as well as
providing short term inputs into these.
The HLSP Institute:
We share lessons from our work and contribute to debate on global
health and development practice through the Institute.

countries for over 20 years, working in around 30 countries at any
one time. We have over 100 senior technical and administrative

Mott MacDonald’s Washington, DC-based international development
services team supports Mott MacDonald’s global services to
development agencies such as the US Agency for International
Development, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the World Bank
and the Inter-American Development Bank in efforts to reduce
poverty and promote sustainable economic development
worldwide.
Why HLSP and Mott MacDonald want to develop their presence in
the US?
We want to establish a health capability in Washington to
facilitate growing business with the international aid and
foundation-funded activities of the health sector with US-based
agencies.
We have well established relationships with several of the leading
US providers of technical services to USAID and other development
agencies, and we are able to lead as well as support US-funded
development programs. In the health sector we are looking to secure
business with USAID, PEPFAR and certain Foundations.
How we will do this.
We already have an office in Washington with Technical Specialists
in Water, Sanitation & Environment; and in Education. We are
now looking to recruit a Senior Specialist in Health whose key
tasks over the first two years are described in the Job
Description.

and will be resident in Washington where the role is to be
based.
