The private sector is play an increasing role in the
fight against HIV/AIDS
Scaling up access to HIV and AIDS prevention, treatment and care
provides opportunities for health syst em s
strengthening and development
Ensuring access to quality HIV and AIDS prevention, treatment and
care services remains a major challenge in many low and middle
income countries. Funding for HIV and AIDS provides valuable
opportunities to scale up access to HIV services and to
simultaneously develop the health system through the provision of
integrated services, strengthening existing and new delivery
systems and overcoming specific health system constraints such as
human resources.
