The Institute promotes debate on global health
issues
In 2005, we established the HLSP Institute. It provides policy
analysis, training, and applied research on issues relevant to
better development practice, attainment of the Millennium
Development Goals and reduction of inequalities in health.
The Institute builds on HLSP experience and expertise in health
policy and systems, with the aim of informing debate and policy on
global health issues, national health systems and responses to HIV
and AIDS. It does this through improving the evidence base for
policy, developing innovative training and technical resources,
helping identify solutions and contributing to debate.
The
HLSP
Institute› has taken over the work in these areas by the
Institute for Health Sector Development (IHSD) which merged with
HLSP in 2005. The HLSP Institute website has further information on
current work being carried out and provides papers and resources on
key issues such as aid instruments and global health systems.
