What is the Health Resource Centre?

The Health Resource Centre (HRC) subdivision of HLSP
works to improve health and health systems in low and middle income
countries by providing high quality advice, expertise and
knowledge. At any one
The UK Department for International Development is
our largest single client, through the DFID HRCtime, the HRC
manages between 60 and 80 assignments, roughly two thirds of which
are for the Department of International Development (DFID),
administered through the DFID Health Resource Centre contract.
Our other clients include global health partnerships, national
governments, United Nations organisations, bilateral and
multilateral funding agencies and philanthropic foundations. Click

What services does the Health Resource Centre provide?

The HRC works with clients in developing countries
and at their international HQs. Services include
monitoring and evaluation of health
programmes and projects, support to policy formulation and
strategic planning, programme and project scoping, design and
appraisal, and the organisation of
events such as conferences,
strategy launches, training workshops and retreats.
The HRC provides these services in all areas of health and health
systems including
health financing
and health economics,
health
systems, social determinants of health and governance,
human resources,
access to medicines,
communicable and non-communicable
diseases,
HIV & AIDS,
sexual and reproductive health and
maternal health.

How does the Health Resource Centre work?
The HRC is managed by a core team of health specialists, health
systems specialists and administrative staff based in HLSP's London
offices. We draw on the expertise and resources of a worldwide
network of national and international collaborating agencies and
individuals.
