Agents of change: rebuilding Iraq’s medical system
Film, 2010
Decades of conflict have left Iraqi health care in tatters. Little attention has been paid to reversing the effects of isolation on clinical staff, despite some progress in repairing the country’s health infrastructure.
For four years, HLSP supported efforts to bring new skills to Iraqi doctors, nurses and policymakers, and empower them to modernise and strengthen the country’s health system.
This short film documents how the Iraq Clinical Training and Development Programme developed the participants' ability to become agents of change and enabled them to bring about tangible improvements in the Iraqi health system.
