Evidence-informed decision making processes for new vaccines and other technologies: strengthening capacity at country level
Nel Druce et al. for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, 2006
Decision makers in many countries face many challenges related to the processes for developing and assessing the evidence base necessary to set health priorities, and for engaging and communicating with stakeholders.
This study maps international and regional initiatives to strengthen evidence-based decision making processes, and explores existing models in a range of high, middle and low income country contexts. It provides recommendations to the Foundation on how it could best support national mechanisms to assess whether, when and how to adopt innovations in immunisation programmes and other new technologies. |
