Access to medicines in under-served countries: what are the implications of changes in intellectual property rights, trade and drug registration policy?

Nel Druce for DFID, 2004

This paper summarises the key findings of seven studies commissioned by DFID's Access to Medicines Team in 2004. The studies examine the policy implications of recent trends in international trade, intellectual property protections and drug registration requirements for emerging producers of generic medicines such as India and China, and for poor people in developing countries.
