Region: -
Country: -
Client: UNFPA
Date: 2008-2010
HLSP assisted UNFPA to improve its approach to reproductive health commodity security (RHCS) in countries that made the least progress and those with the lowest socio-economic indicators.
HLSP examined priority themes – including advocacy and policy dialogue, partnerships with non-state actors, and promoting access to reproductive health supplies – as well as processes, critical factors for success and failure, and the why and how of interventions, in order to draw lessons and recommendations.
The study looked at cases from nine countries across Africa and Asia: Timor-Leste, Tanzania, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Burkina Faso and Yemen.
Technical areas:
- Sexual and reproductive health
- Governance and organisational development
