HLSP supported UNAIDS in the development of their Strategic Plan 2011-2015. The draft plan which was presented to UNAIDS was based on numerous stakeholder consultations and aimed to be a “bold and visionary document, articulating UNAIDS future strategic directions”.

The objectives of the strategic plan include revitalising political commitment, resources and action to achieve Universal Access as central to the AIDS agenda; seizing the opportunity to extend the achievement date for Universal Access to 2015 to bring it into line with the MDGs, and to frame the AIDS response within the broader MDG effort.
