HLSP conducted the review of the DFID-funded WHO-Health Action International (HAI) Africa Regional Collaboration for Action on Essential Medicines in Africa 2002–2008. The review sets out lessons learned for WHO’s health systems and medicines strategy and for the role and participation of civil society. It also conveys lessons learned for initiatives such as the multi-stakeholder Medicines Transparency Alliance (MeTA) and WHO’s project on Good Governance for Medicines.
