HLSP is supporting in-country implementation of the initiative through its offices in Beijing in partnership with the MacFarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health Ltd (Burnet). The purpose of the China Australia Health and HIV/AIDS Facility (CAHHF) is to improve China's capacity to strengthen its health systems, protect its population against emerging infectious diseases, and prevent and care for HIV infection. CAHHF offers funding for Chinese government and provincial level agencies, Chinese academies and China-Australia partnerships to carry out activities under three themes: HIV and AIDS, emerging infectious diseases and health systems strengthening.
