The Financial Management Improvement Plan (FMIP) is key to Cambodia’s Second Health Sector Support Programme (HSSP2 2003-2008), which is being implemented as a sector-wide approach. HLSP is providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Health (MOH) to support the implementation of the FMIP over two years of the HSSP2. The FMIP aims to strengthen capacity in financial management at central and local levels in order to prepare MOH financial management staff to assume greater responsibility for programme financial management as well as enable the country systems to be used effectively. The project will also support the MOH as it takes on reform activities initiated by a government-wide Public Financial Management Reform Programme.
