Analysis and Synthesis of the AIDS Related Components of the 2010 MDG Country Reports

HLSP has carried out a review to identify country level opportunities and needs in relation to the AIDS plus MDGs agenda. This approach recognises the importance of the AIDS response in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and conversely, the importance of the MDGs in supporting the AIDS response.

The issues examined include: how prominently the MDG reports discuss country HIV response; the degree to which they address bi-directional linkages between HIV (MDG 6) and other MDGs; and what opportunities for further ‘integration’ and ‘linkages’ have been identified.
